e-Cigarettes have evolved a great deal in the scant few years since the eGo style devices hit the market. Even ecig brands that were, until recently, very staunch supporters of the traditional cigarette look-a-like electronic cigarette. That is changing as people, even new users, are embracing so-called second and third generation devices.
The following guest post comes from Audrey, social media maven over at Vapor4Life. While this post may seem to be quick and simple, I find I most often miss things like this focusing on e-cigarette news, activism, and the myriad of products I review. Therefore, I’m incredibly grateful to be able to step back for a minute and hand the reigns over to cover some basics that not everyone might know about when it comes to e-cigarette and eGo style batteries.
Perhaps you’ve seen a few different terms thrown around for e-cigarettes. eCigs, vape pens and hookah sticks are terms that I’ve heard the media toss out before. I sort of thought for a while the latter two were made up by reporters who couldn’t be bothered to do any actual research. It turns out vape pens and hookah sticks are real, live relatives of the e-cigarette.
Not that long ago, I wrote a post outlining 7 myths about e-cigarettes that seem to be incredibly pervasive. It turns out that post was amazing popular, and I got a lot of feedback on the subject. Based on your suggestions, as well as some new myths that have popped up in the short time since I wrote the first article, I decided a sequel was in order.
I’ve been around the block a time or two before when it comes to e-cigarettes. There is a certain set of talking points that prohibitionists go to when smearing the industry. From old favorites to relatively new theories, there seems to be no end to the nonsense put forth by opponents of electronic cigarettes. I figure I’d take a little time out here to touch on the more popular ones and try to explain why they are myths.
A lot has happened in the e-cigarette industry since I’ve written this post two years ago. It has been recently updated to include more modern products as well as include the concept of Advanced Personal Vaporizer or APV.
