News Item: Riverside County (Calif.) Looks into Vaping Ban

The Riverside County government will be voting on a vaping ban within county buildings.  The article in the Press Enterprise seems to hint a lot of the move is based on the usual outdated information about risks put out by the FDA.  The article also noted a 2010 UC Riverside study that found leaky e-cigarette cartridges.

That goes to show how quickly things move, but leaves some of these studies behind.  In the past year, the atomizer and cartridge system has fallen out of favor, precisely because of issues like that.  Opponents of e-cigarettes are basically citing things that the industry has corrected itself.  This particular article doesn’t stop there, most of the other prohibitionist arguments make an appearance including the part about adults couldn’t possibly enjoy stuff that doesn’t taste like crap.
