Ron Reviews: Orange Vines by Bulk e-Juice

This time around I am reviewing a unique and one of the most powerful and assertive E-liquids that I have tried to date. While this may indeed be too strong for many vapers unless you are fans of the hot cinnamon vapes or among the many people who will walk across hot coals to get a supply of the legendary Pluid by Mad Murdock (which by the way is a flavor that I love myself) in which case you are in luck with this new offering by Bulk E-Juice.

Orange Vines

Orange Vines

This is the one of their signature series that they have provided to me for review (thank you Misty!) This, to put it mildly, a very “in your face” flavor which is simply described on their website as…

“A blend of Orange and Black Licorice”.

My order arrived on a very timely basis (48 hours) packed in a padded envelope with the bottle further protected by bubble wrap.

The 30ml bottle was very well filled and well marked with the PG/VG ratio and nicotine level. Unless you specify, the standard PG/VG ratio is 50/50 but they will cheerfully mix according to your wishes including nicotine levels of 0,6,12.18 or 24mg. Sample sizes are all 50/50 with your choice of nicotine level. I will get back to the sample sizes later on.

As usual, I requested and received my customary 60/40 mix with 12mg of Nicotine.

First Impressions

The liquid in the bottle is an almost clear yellowish color. When shaken, no air bubbles present themselves. Just an observation that I make to test in a most unscientific way the PG/VG mix.

Now I move on to the sniff test. With this no real need to bring the bottle very close to my nose as the scent is quite strong and it smells just like the brief description on the Bulk E-Juice website. A straight up 50/50 mix of a tart orange mixed in with a heavy black licorice smell leaving no doubts as to what flavors are in the liquid.

Now on to the actual test.

kanger protank ii review card imageJust from the description and the scent, I am sure that this is a true tank cracker so I take no chances and I fill my Kanger Pro-Tank with a 2.5 ohm Evod head and affix it to my trusty Vamo V2.

As usual (and predictable) I start out at 3.4 volts and work my way up.

I am kind of surprised that even at 3.4v it has a presence! That aside, I walk my way up to 4.0 volts which is definitely overkill for this flavor and I settle in at 3.8 volts and settle down for some serious vaping.

On inhale, what I received was a really, strong taste of what I reminded my of a really tart mix of Orange Tang which is followed by that really thick and dark liquorice flavor and a candy like sweetness. The combination of the two flavors is a totally outrageous full-out assault on my taste buds and sinuses! Even with the occasional sneeze, I am having a problem putting this down. This liquid is also giving me some phenomenal throat hit and clouds of vapor. If you are looking for something to use when you are stealth vaping, forget this one. This is one of those liquids where the vapor does indeed carry a scent with it. And dogs and cats with their more sensitive noses are not big fans of it even if I am. Great Stuff Indeed! That is if you really like the assertive flavor profiles.

And a week passes…

I decide to shift to a solid 4.0 volts as I have gotten a bit more used to the flavors. The throat hit and vapor production are still beyond impressive The Black Licorice flavor is still the same. But the Orange Tang flavor seems to have lost just a touch of the original tartness and is more like a very strong Orange/Citrus flavor. This flavor is one of those that you will want on hand the next time you get a cold or suffer from Vapors Tongue as you will be able to taste it even if you can’t taste anything else.

Now a little bit about Bulk E-Juice

They are big advocates of vaping as a healthier alternative to smoking and involved in our vaping community.

bulk e-juice review title imageThey are a family run business that started out making E-Liquids about two years ago and started retailing November 2012 and are based in
 Port Richey, Florida.

And while they use the best of ingredients in their creations and mix to order, they offer some of the best customer service I have
ever encountered as well. Placing an order is painless and shipping is very quick, product is well packaged (they really like bubble wrap) and you get a USPS tracking number.

Prices are very reasonable for the excellent product you receive.

And of this morning, a total of 160 different flavors to choose from. Visit Bulk E-Juice to view the selection.

Signature series of their liquids are $12.99 per 30ml. Other flavors are $7.75 for 30 ml.

And sometimes they have sales crop up for as little as $5 for a 30ml bottle

They offer a 5 pack of samples for $9.10 The sample sized bottles are marked as 5ml but truth be told they are indeed 6ml samples.
S&H is a $3.00 flat rate and is free for orders over $30.00
Other than samples and 30ml bottles, they offer 4, 8 and 16oz sizes so be sure to check them out for further savings.

Why not pay a visit to Bulk eJuice to see their entire selection.

I hope that this review has given you some insight on a new E-Liquid that just might be something that could give the famous Pluid a run for the money. To be quite honest, IMHO Pluid is still the king of the “in your face” flavors but this is a fairly close second or at least something that favorably compares. Still you may want to seriously consider ordering a sample sized bottle of this before committing to a larger size. For myself, I am glad I found this to share with you!

Until next time..
