Who says you can’t teach a new dog old tricks? I found something really interesting tonight when trawling for goodies for next week’s new & notable post.
MadVapes has updated its venerable Roughstack mod to feature variable voltage! The new version has been dubbed the VStack.
If you’re not familiar with the RS, it’s one of the grand old flagships of the e-cigarette world and has been around for years. I reviewed one quite a while back.
The new treatment gets the classic device more modern technology. Here’s what the MadVapes site has to say about the new modern version:
The VStack is a modified version with a circuit board that allows the user to adjust voltage over the full usable range of the battery up to the maximum voltage of the battery(ies) installed in .1 volt increments. The VStack has built in circuit protection and vent holes for added safety. Everything is controlled with the button on top of the VStack. The built in LED flashes back voltages and error messages for items like out range settings and low battery indication.
That should mean this thing can offer the performance of an old-school variable voltage box mod in a slightly more attractive, but still very retro package. If you’re a fan of some of the classic mods of days past, this might be worth checking out.
